Livability UK

 Training is going well. While I haven't officially begun my training plan as such (it is a twelve week plan and I will be sticking to it like glue from around June / July), I have started some longer runs on the weekends.  Running with friends, I have reached 17.5km which is the furthest I've run since my half-marathon in October 2019. What motivates me the most is the sponsorship I have been receiving so far and today I wanted to write a bit about my fundraising and Livability UK.   I am running the London Marathon in support of Livability UK, a charity which helps people living with disability to access the life they want to lead.  I've seen relatives living with disability for as long as I can remember and working in an inclusive school means that I see how important inclusion is on a day to day basis so I am thrilled to be running for such a worthy cause.    On 3rd of October you will find me in London to run my first ever marathon.  I never expected to write that sentence but since accepting my place in the run up to my 36th birthday, the marathon has become my focus. I am running more, reading about running, trying out new gear and talking about running to everyone who will listen. This blog is the next step for me to share with you my experiences in training and fundraising for the big event! For those of you who don't know me, I am a teacher, wife, mummy of two living in Germany but originally from Leeds, England.  I've been living in Germany for almost eleven years and I teach languages and humanities in secondary school in Bremen.
